Protects Skin

It's more like a skin care routine.

Most shave products are built for sensation, not skin health. Packed with alcohols and additives that feel cool going on but leave your skin dry, itchy, and irritated.

Our skincare products are different. Cleanse, Protect, Restore: each step is designed to support your skin barrier, reduce irritation, and deliver consistent results. No sulfates, no dyes, no gimmicks, just skin-friendly formulas made to help your shave feel as good as your skin will look.

Are you skipping steps in your shave?

Most people jump straight to shaving cream, but skipping the steps before and after shaving can cost your skin.

Without cleaning your skin, debris and oils make it harder for the blade to glide. Without softening the hair, you’re causing the blade to pull more, and without moisturizing after, you’re leaving your skin dry and exposed.

The good news? Adding these steps isn't complicated or time-consuming.

Our full lineup.

Step 1: Cleanse.

A gentle, foaming cleanser that clears your skin of debris and begins softening your hair for a smoother shave.

Step 2: Protect.

This shave cream creates a slick surface that allows your razor to glide effortlessly over your skin, protecting it while you shave.

Step 3: Restore.

The post-shave balm hydrates and helps restore your skin’s natural moisture barrier after you shave.

Made for your skin.

We went out of our way to select ingredients that support and protect your skin, and get rid of ingredients that don't. Here's just a few of the ingredients often found in shaving products, that you won't find in ours.

No Propane.

No Alcohols.

No Sulfates.

No Dyes.

No Propane.

You may not realize it, but one of the most common propellants in aerosol shaving creams is propane... Yes, the same thing your BBQ uses.

The Henson Shave Cream won't start your BBQ, but then it also doesn't contain propane (or other propellants).

No Alcohols.

Alcohols are often found in shaving products. Alcohols provide a false sense of satisfaction by creating a cooling or tingling sensation.

The reality is that alcohols strip your skin of natural oils causing dryness and irritation. Repeated exposures can result in damage to the skin barrier and cracking skin.

No Sulfates.

Sulfates are extremely common in shaving creams (and many skin care products). They help water and oil mix together, and are used as foaming agents to create overly bubbly lathers. But they also strip your skin of natural oils again causing dryness as well as potentially worsening conditions like eczema, acne and rosacea.

Sulfates are also under scrutiny for potentially being toxic and damaging to your health. They're not necessary, so we didn't include any.

No Dyes.

Many shaving creams and foams, particularly of the gel variety, contain nasty dyes (Where do you think that vibrant blue comes from?).

The dyes are absorbed into your body, can cause contact dermatitis, and dyes in general right now are facing a lot of scrutiny for their links to various health issues.

Our products contain no dyes.
