Are single blade razors for women too?

Are single blade razors for women too?

Why do people look at our razor and assume it’s only for men?

Hey, I'm Courtney and I work at Henson....I think it's probably because a single blade safety razor is what you remember your grandfather or great-grandfather using.

Or maybe it's because the shaving industry has spent decades marketing pink, plastic razors to women.

Well, I’m sitting here writing to you (definitely as a woman) to share why I love my Henson Razor.

I originally tried Henson the same way I’ve tried most razors - by borrowing my husband's.

I'll admit, I was a little nervous about changing out the blade, but I got over that quickly once I realized you just have to hold the non-sharp ends. It was simple and safe.

I hopped in the shower to start shaving my legs. Soaped them up and grabbed the razor firmly.

I pressed gently on my skin and glided the razor up my calf.

Then I flipped it over (since it's a double-edged razor) and did another glide. Rinsed the razor and repeated.

I stepped out of the shower and noticed how smooth my skin was and how effortless it was to use the Henson.

I was actually shocked at how great it was.

Then I tried it on my more sensitive parts, like my bikini line. Not only was it just as effective, but I had significantly less razor burn and redness than I normally got.

I was THRILLED.

"20 cents a week on shavingwait, that can’t be right?!"

After my shave, I took the blade out and put it in a mason jar that we keep in our drawer for used blades.

Since I shave 50% of my body, I like to change my blade every time I shave.

That’s about 2 blades a week at 10¢ a piece.

20 cents a week on shavingwait, that can’t be right?!

Once the cost savings clicked, I was hooked. I wanted my own Henson razor as soon as possible.

My Henson has put money back in my pocket but has also saved me literal pain from irritation and ingrown hairs that shaving often causes.

I actually find myself shaving more often because it doesn't hurt anymore.

I’m pretty grateful for an everyday tool, that does an everyday thing, that was made better by people who cared enough to rethink it.

That experience is actually what led me to join the Henson team. I was a customer first, so my belief in this razor is real, it's not just part of my job.

So girls, if you're looking for the best safety razor for women, stop buying it for your partner and just grab one for yourself.

You won’t regret it.

-Courtney

P.S. I now sport the copper razor, and it sits pretty, ready to deliver a great shave every time. If you're going to get one, that's my pick!
